First ISTs due this week

October 1
Students should be building up their ecarts (file folders) so they will have evidence that they have been working and achieving in class.  The first ISTs are due by the end of this week. I have included the files we have worked on for the last 2 weeks. If you have missed any classes, be sure to print out any worksheets you might have missed.

All Al Quaa cycle 3 students, who are citizens of the UAE, are to be taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and that means they must wear their sports clothing. If they do not have the proper clothing, they are to join the other students in their English class.

There still has been no information as to when the CEPA exam is to take place. As soon as I find out, I will communicate the dates to the students

Here are the files from the last 2 weeks

September 22

Students are becoming more familiar with their new timetables, classmates, and moving from class to class. Attendance is improving, but remember you must go directly to your class; coming in late disturbs the students who made the effort to show up on time. It is best to be respectful of others.

The dates for the first CEPA exam sitting have not been published, but as soon as they are, I will post the information here.

Several students have missed the first couple of weeks of school, therefore I am setting up links to some worksheets that other students have already completed. These sheets are to be completed and put into your ecart file.

If you miss a day of school. remember we will be working on English that day. To catch up, please check to see if any worksheets or assignments were given that day.

You are responsible for any work you have missed.

Welcome Back to School 2013-2014

Welcome back to Al Qua'a Boy's School for the 2013- 2014 school year. This website has been set up to facilitate communication between Mr Kim and his students and the parents of his students.

I will be including infromation about school events and what the boys are doing in class.

I will also include files of the handouts and worksheets the boys are given in class. This will allow them to be sure to have a complete ecart to hand in.

If a student or parent has a question, please post it on the site and I will answer it as soon as possible.

This week we are beginning the new semester. The grade 11 students are studying :"A Healthy Society" and the grade 12 students are studying "Careers and Future Choices"

June 25- Last Post for this School Year

Well classes are over and school is done (unless you are resitting an exam). I hope everyone has a great summer. I will be returning in September and will again be teaching the Grade 11 classes.

I have had an interesting and exciting 6 months in Al Qua'a and I hope next year is even better.

If you have a friend or family member in grade 10, please let them know about this website so they know where to go for information about my classes next year.

Please see the school to make arrangements to register for the exam. These exams are administered in Al Ain.

Last Week of Classes until Exams Begin

June 2 We are into the final week before the exams begin. This is a short week as June 6th is a holiday. There are still a few students who have not handed in their assignments or eCart.

Please have that completed before I must submit my marks to ADEC.

A reminder that the work submitted should be your own, not photocopied or copied from someone else. Simply handing in the sheets that you were assigned, with no attempt made to complete the assignments, will not give you a mark. The work must be completed. This is the same work we did together in class.

Remember to come to class this week as it is a regular week of school. (Except shorter)
